Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly banning top health experts from appearing on CNN in an effort to pressure the network into airing the daily White House coronavirus task force briefings in full.According to a CNN report Thursday morning, Pence’s office will only permit experts such as Dr. Deborah Birx and Dr. Anthony Fauci to appear on the network on the condition that it airs the portion of the briefings featuring the vice president and other coronavirus task force members.
If you told him he’s literally attempting to control how the briefings are covered he’d get that smiling through the pain of your wrongness expression and the headshake and the explanation of how that’s not it at all. No matter what you think of how CNN does things, if they knuckle under here it’s not a good thing at all.
Media are criticized for carrying the daily task force briefing because Trump has turned much of it into a campaign rally and gripe-fest, about the media. It’s said the focus of the pressers should be limited to the actual pandemic and measures to deal with it. I don’t watch CNN, but it’s weird amid all the media critiques I find out they ignore the pandemic aspects, and just carry Trump’s idiocies.
So the first question of anytelevision interviewer to Fauci, Birx, et al needs to be – is it true that you have been told not to appear on CNN because Mike Pence is unhappy that they don’t broadcast the entirety of your briefings? Isn’t your job to inform ALL americans about health risks, including those who watch CNN, regardless of whether the Vice President is happy with his coverage.
OT. In the past few minutes my daughter in Shoreline, WA told me that her test for SARS-CoV-2 (RNA test) came back negative. She has no idea what was causing her symptoms of fever, fatigue and cough. She’s certain it was not seasonal flu or common cold. She said she was almost disappointed that now she wasn’t going to get immunity. We’ve all very happy and I’m quite chagrined and I apologize for foisting off my fretting on you guys. Your support was generous. Thank you.
So Pence is now engaging in QPQ WH Briefing Edition…at the expense of gaslighting Americans during a pandemic in exchange for airtime!
And let’s NOT forget those 70 days of the Trump Regime’s NON-Response to Covid - which Pence is a part of: denials, delays, disinformation, QPQ with some Governors, bragging about TV ratings/FB Followers/Sexual exploits with models, whining about blown hair…profiting while in office through Jared…golfing…

Delighted to hear it. Could have been anything—I had a dry cough for all of 2019 and most of this year, pretty sure it was unrelated to any pandemics going around. Sorry for the family scare.
