Vice President Mike Pence refused to say Black lives matter on Friday, aka Juneteenth, amid the growing movement against anti-Black police brutality sparked by the killing of George Floyd.
The next time one of these pious stuffed shirts pulls this bit about “all lives matter,” ask them which lives are more at risk. Blue lives are more at risk from donut toxicity (heart attacks, diabetes) than being shot. White lives are way down there on the likelihood of dying from being shot by a cop. For black males, it’s one of the factors cutting off their lives. And then there are the problems of being incarcerated for nothing.
Mikey, if all lives matter, then it should be easy to say that of course Black lives matter, like all others. But of course you won’t, because to you and Fat Nixon, they don’t.
Mother will not be pleased with your public jerking around, Mikey. What has Mother told you about your jerking around in public?
He dares not show even a hint of support for “those people”.
ETA: I’m watching the crowd file into the Trump rally. Looks like the line at the local soup kitchen. If those dumb bastards think he cares a whit about them – well, what can one say?
“Well, I don’t accept the fact, Brian, that there’s a segment of American society that disagrees in the preciousness and importance of every human life,” Pence replied.
Whoa. There’s a woman with an “I can’t breathe” t shirt at the Tulsa trump rally outdoor area, and they’re trying to kick her out. She’s doing nothing but… sitting. This is live on MSNBC right now.
What a little coward. I’m fairly certain orders came down from Trump prohibiting anyone in the Administration from stating the obvious and the necessary. Even NASCAR and the NFL have come around on the issue.
Not just on the wrong side of history and morality, but also on the wrong side of polls - if that’s all you’re concerned with.
