Vice President Mike Pence publicly slammed Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on Wednesday for being insufficiently conservative in his rulings.
I still cling to the quaintly old-fashioned notion that the job of judges is not to make conservatives happy, you piece of shit.
Is my memory correct that Obama mentioned a SCOTUS decision during the SOTU and the right’s heads exploded? I remember Alito shaking his head and mouthing “not true”. (It was about voting rights, correct?)
So now it’s cool to criticize SCOTUS at the highest level of government? Trying to keep up.

I’m no fan of Roberts because he is still too right wing for me (racism is over, really?) but in years to come when people are saying Pence? who was he again, they will know who Roberts was.
I wrote elsewhere that Roberts probably feels the same way about Pence, but is more professional in keeping his personal opinions to himself. Good on Roberts. He should continue to stay silent on this topic.

We aren’t happy with Citizens United and the attack on voting rights but you don’t see us publicly acting like whiny cry babies.
And the guy just says it out loud. He want’s rulings that favor his politics and not the Constitution. It’s always been that way but no one comes out and says it.
