Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday raised alarm at federal law enforcement operating in Washington, D.C. without identifying themselves, and she wrote to President Trump for a list of every agency involved in policing the nation’s capital.
“Pelosi is expected to deliver a police reform bill drafted by members of the Congressional Black Caucus on Monday.”

Nothing could possibly be more offensive to the entire movement and issue than using the racist pigdog douchebags charged with enacting the most violent of responses to unrest in the prisons overpacked with racially targeted, over-sentenced black and brown people to use the same violent tactics against those who remain free. Use of BOP was their last resort for finding a ready-made Gestapo trained both mentally and physically to view and treat POC as non-human subjects to be beaten into submission while caged.
If there is any conscience left to it, the military should deploy of its own accord to oppose and stifle BOP while protecting the protesters from their predictable, incoming abuse.
How are people to know that there aren’t a bunch of winger nut jobs out there not affiliated with one of these law enforcement groups? Just coming to put on the tough act, what a perfect time for them to get their yah yahs.

I want to say one thing about police in general since this stuff started and that is if you guys want to be viewed more sympathetically, not less, here’s a fucking hint: Don’t be seen on video after video cracking skulls of peaceful protesters, shoving people to the ground who have offered you no threat, shooting people in the head with various projectiles so they lose eyes, telling journalists doing their job to “get the fuck out of here” and then busting their heads too, I could go on but you get the idea. You’re mostly good? It’s just a few bad apples? The evidence says otherwise but if it’s so then make the bad apples shape up or ship out. Basically, and I was never much of a cop-basher before, fuck you and you stupid flag. There’s only one flag, bitches, and you’ll follow the laws of that one or we’ll get you looking for other work. Guess I wasn’t much of a cop basher either and probably a lot of white people weren’t, but we’ve seen the worst of the worst out of so many of them in the last week. Is this America? I’m really not sure.

Agreed, but try to keep in mind that there ARE good ones out there. The ones charging into mass shooting situations, pulling people from burning cars, performing meaningful community policing, etc.
Not at all condoning the bad apples, just trying to acknowledge the good ones.

I don’t read posts from the TPMer you responded to, but I imagine it’s along the lines of she’s wasting her time because trumPP will ignore her, insult her, you name it. I may be wrong, of course. But she has a job and it involves the branch 50% of which she represents communicating with another branch. She knows going in he’ll be unresponsive, and that’s no reason to run away from the task.
