House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) didn’t mince her words while describing what she believes the whistleblower complaint unveils about the conduct of the Justice Department and Attorney General Bill Barr: It’s a “cover up of the cover up.”
I think it’s their “shock and awe” strategy of carpetbombing us all with so much crap from all sides that we don’t know what to grab at. It’s been, sadly, too effective. But if we can keep focused on this one thing (thank you Nancy) instead of trying to juggle everything, we may bring this tsunami of horseshit to a trickle. Or perhaps even an end, with a whole bunch of folks wearing orange jumpsuits at the end.
Once again, Pelosi shows us that she sees the big picture better than any of us.
By holding back the dam on impeachment for all those months, and taking most of the flak for it, she has built up her credibility to the point that she can now be an “unimpeachable” advocate for impeachment.
It was that part where Schiff did an exaggerated parody version of the gist of the conversation. Trump’s dumbest minions seized on it as some sort of actual deception. Commonsensical adults don’t do that but that’s not who we’re dealing with there.
