Pelosi Torches Trump’s Response To Outbreak, Says POTUS Caused ‘Unnecessary Death And Disaster’

Nancy’s right, again.

White House spokesperson Judd Deere told TPM in an emailed statement that Pelosi “should stop lying and pay attention to the facts.”

She’ll do it when Trump does it.

Pelosi is, of course, right. And all the GOP senators and House reps who cover for him, support him, and enable him are just as guilty. People have died horrible deaths because of trump and his enablers.

She does do it. Judd Deere was engaging in the same kind of projection Crazy Pants does.

WHO gave south Korea, and him, (the same day) info on the new virus in China. Nancy compared the results of action and inaction.

Great interview last night on Chris Hayes’ show. She demolished Trump without sounding overly harsh. She can rant with a velvet glove on, to mix my metaphors.

Of course, but I was referring to the stream of lies that came out of this guy’s mouth right after this quote:

“The Speaker has clearly forgotten that President Trump has taken bold, aggressive action for months against COVID-19,” Deer said, “while she instead focused on a sham impeachment, ripped up the President’s State of the Union address, encouraged people to ‘come to Chinatown’ as the virus was spreading, for no good reason held up critically needed economic relief payments for hardworking Americans, and is still play politics over much-needed money for small businesses.”

He’s done none of the above and yes, she did what she did because it was the right thing to do.

"…from this moment on, Americans must ignore lies and start to listen to scientists and other respected professionals in order to protect ourselves and our loved ones.”

From this moment on? We should have been doing this since Feb.

Deere says Trump has “taken bold, decisive action for months.”
Please, TPM, ask him what moves these are, specifically. And at the end of your request, state “And if we don’t get a response from you by 5 pm, we’ll state that you couldn’t name any.”

The truth. It burns.

Madam Speaker is absolutely right. He’s got blood on his hands. He could have largely prevented or mitigated the crisis we’re going through had he not thrown out the hard work of the prior administrations and understaffed and dismantled the federal government.

Yep. Look at South Korea.

Golf and Nuremberg rallies were much more important.

He diddled himself. That counts, doesn’t it?

Let me stop you right there, and cue up the trombones that play when grownups talk to Charlie Brown.

The Speaker, once again, hits the target directly. The truth is what the truth is, whether the Republicans want to accept or believe it or not. The real failure is not simply the President’s actions, but the lack of desire of the Republican Party as a whole to control the actions of its right wing that has now become the leading voice of the Party.

There are no longer such things as “moderate, centrist republicans”, as silence is complicity. And now, additional people are actually dying as a consequence of their ineptness. They have built their party on attacking experience and knowledge, saying no one needs experts who are deeply educated in an area. They have portrayed themselves as “being one with the people”. What a bunch of collective frauds. They only care about power and maintaining power as with that comes whatever else they can grab.

Look at the actions of the Republican Party over the last 50 years, and how their policies are designed to hurt the common citizen. They are masters of misdirection, distortion, as well as sleaze in their campaigns, and we are now suffering the price. Enough. The problem is not President Trump or VP Pence (they are just corrupt frauds), but the Senate Majority Leader and the entire Republican Party. I expect that it will only get worse as Wisconsin just showed that the Republican standard efforts of suppressing the vote didn’t work. The national party is all in, and appears willing to destroy everything in order to survive. We all have decisions to make, and we all must vote in the next election.

Speaker Pelosi:
>“The truth is a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others,”

WH Spox Deere:

“The Speaker has clearly forgotten that President Trump has taken bold, aggressive action for months against COVID-19,”

Let’s remind Deere what his Dear Back-Up IMPeetus has been doing before and during Covid19…

Let’s NOT forget those 70 days of lying, denying, delaying, QPQ with some governors over medical supplies for “Nice Treatment” ala Kim in SK, whining about his blowing hair, bragging about his TV Ratings & FB Followers, acting as a TV Doctor, HATCH ACT violation re:Trump Presser Video made by WH Staff, Infomercials… #TrumpMeltdown during pressers…

Is this the kind of bold, aggressive action for months against COVID-19 that WH Spox Deere meant?

Addendum:

I have NOT forgotten those golfing trips at Trump Properties…
Golf Count = 249
Approx. Cost = $133M

As an aside…per GAO Presidential Travel Jan 2019

The United States Secret Service (Secret Service) incurred about $396,000, primarily for temporary duty costs, while protecting Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump during three international trips taken in January and February 2017. Eric Trump traveled to Uruguay and the Dominican Republic and Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and their spouses traveled to the United Arab Emirates.

Thanks. (I did not catch the interview last night but saw it this morning.)

There were one or two false notes in her letter – not all Americans have “beautiful” lives, for example – but 99% of what she said was excellent, including:

I also noticed that she signed off with “Respectfully and sadly.”

And then there is the “response" from this clown:
