OT: Congrats to Biden and the Dems for finally breaking the year+ long streak:
Susan Page’s autobiography of Pelosi
Sigh
Yikes. Good catch.
My first thought was “It’s something from Susan Page. Ugh!”
All you have to do is read the daily news accounts to understand what a swine Mitch really is…basically a mob boss in a marble column setting…
A power-mad hypocrite and traitor. Conscienceless sociopath. Trump has a personality disorder and can’t help what he does. McConnell decides to be that way every day.
Vito…even Michael were more human than McConnell.
Yeah, I caught the autobiography error too.
So, it’s not an autobiography. See here: https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/books/2020/08/04/nancy-pelosi-biography-usa-todays-susan-page-set-april-2021/5581034002/ .
Let’s just call it a typo by TPM.
Honestly it might be an “as told to” or some such, or frankly if you graze a key with the side of a finger the spell-checker may instantly decide you meant to type some similar-looking word. I do wish we could just turn it off, since it creates more mistakes than it fixes.
ETA just checked and Page is listed as the author of the biography. Normally I let these little mess-ups slide because these kids are producing generally very good work and they’re doing it quickly. But producing what’s called “clean” copy with a minimum of mistakes and typos is also admired and doesn’t take that much more time. You mostly have to want to.
Come on. It was a typo. Leave it alone. Move on. Geez.
It was rather obvious. I notice that TPM will make it impossible to comment on their errors by non members. I also noticed that many of the good and informative people here are not official members. I for one already have several paid subscriptions; one American and two Canadian and can’t afford more on a fixed income.
I’ve been coming here for about 6 years and it’s been great. I learned a lot from all of you gals and guys. More then I have from TPM articles.
Yes, one alerts the TPM writer and one moves on – to this!
OT: This would be fun to watch.
That might not be an error. Think John Barron or David Dennison.
On second thought…Nancy? Yeah, it’s an error. No fuckin’ way! Sigh x2.
Slaughter.
And both sides would see it that way!
…And there was a majestic book (an autobiography) which put the biographer on the Map:
The Autobiography of Malcom X
I was lucky enough to see Haley in university.
