Here’s hoping you’re right about helping regular folks next time ‘round.

And you also might throw in that Canada is giving people $2,000 a month for six months. And their numbers are a sliver of ours right now.

That’s Tapper playing straight-man. If you read his Twitter feed, he is royally pissed at Trump’s bungling of the situation.

I will add that on with your permission.

Ancient history. That was over yesterday, man. Massie is the embodiment of the Republican Party, as is Trump. And polls show that nearly half of all Americans love it.

Yes. If this doesn’t get us to some form of universal healthcare, I don’t know what will.

From NPR (https://www.npr.org/2019/11/15/779972367/state-department-aide-had-specific-quotes-from-trump-democratic-congressman-says) : …After Holmes asked why that was the case, Sondland responded that the president only cares about “big stuff.” Holmes said he noted there was “big stuff” related to Ukraine like the war with Russia, but that Sondland replied he meant “‘big stuff’ that benefits the president,” and cited the “Biden investigation” that Rudy Giuliani, his personal attorney, was pushing.

  1. Singapore’s system is authoritarianism dressed up as democracy. People there are used to it. There are few dissidents not in prison. In this context, referring to the Prime Minister as “firm” is sort of an understatement. I agree that the government’s response to the virus was and is successful in technical terms. I don’t know how much of this successful response is replicable elsewhere. Did Fareed Zakaria raise any of this?

  2. The prime minister, like his father before him (also prime minister in his day), was a top student at Cambridge. (When I say “top” here I mean it literally: numero uno.) He also has a degree from Harvard. Not only is his English much better than Trump’s, so is every other aspect of his mind.

Good on you Madame Speaker. Someone had to say it.

I finally gave up on one of my now-former friends on social media who declared this morning that Nancy should be voted out and sent to prison and applauded the LA rep who ‘took her to the cleaners’ on criticizing Nancy. I asked him why he isn’t suitably pissed with #ditchMoscowMitch for all of the corporate welfare his party put into these bills.

I’m at the point now where I just don’t need this. The only thing I should’ve done before deleting him was to ask him if he’s returning the check that is possibly coming his way.

This will indeed surpass the needs after the crash of 1929
Watch for FDR levels of blue as America wakes up to the reality of who actually cares about them , and more importantly , who can fix it

A certain Senator from Vermont may agree to some extent.

A certain former Vice President would rather die first.

He just might die first.

Sent to prison summarily?

Any trial needed? On what charge?

Did anyone notice that no Democrat was present at the signing ceremony for the bill in the Oval. He thanked both parties for cooperating in order to get it done (also handed out the pens he’d used to sign the bill to the lackeys standing around him, yuck), but as far as acknowledging Pelosi’s and Schumer’s role in this, it’s as if they didn’t exist. Elaine Chao was there, for chrissake, but no Dems.
