House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) softly jabbed a reporter and the Sinclair Broadcasting Group on Thursday evening after a Sinclair reporter’s question about Pelosi hating President Trump got her heated earlier in the day.

This is the most important question you could ask in the public sphere today. What sources of information about the world are worth trusting? Everything else flows from that.

Why not say “Yes I hate him. He’s a terrible president taking orders from and enemy government. He’s hurt the country in a hundred ways, with his crazy tariffs, his alienating our allies while sucking up to our enemies, and he’s divided the American people the worst ever since the Civil War. On purpose. He is the worst president the USA has ever had.”

Not to be part of the word-choice critics’ chorus but how soft a jab is it, really, to question whether a person’s work has any fundamental worth, or is in fact what it purports to be in the first place?
She started out calling him a coward. And seems then to have realized that she’d better dial it back a bit. We are, after all, the good guys in this.
Because what she did say is far better. She said his policies are cowardly, cruel and bad for the country, but those are issues to address in elections, and impeachment is about protecting the Constitution from tyranny. Also, she considers it an affront to her faith to suggest she hates anyone. Some Christians actually are.
Let’s not get carried away. Dems did vote in large numbers to conduct civilian genocide in lraq and Afghanistan, as a result of several Saudi nationals committing terrorism… Because of course.

Not sure curiosity and research skills are their signature strengths. At any rate, when the premises of the question are misleading and corrupt, newsmakers have a right to react. Whatever ails us these days, well-intentioned people speaking up about abuses is the sunlight that will cure it. Not cowering in fear that the attention will make them stronger.
The wingnuts are desperately trying to personalize this by saying the Democrats hate THEIR president, that they are trying to cancel out YOUR vote by letting illegals vote, that they want to raise YOUR taxes, violate YOUR religious beliefs, that they care more about illegal aliens than YOU the American citizens, that YOUR president is the chosen one anointed in the blood of Jesus Christ (yes, I have seen this comment in the wingnut-o-sphere), and that he alone is fighting against the corrupt globalist elites on YOUR behalf.
Sadly, Sinclair is the nation’s largest owner of local “news” stations and have tremendous reach with their nationalized mandatory opinion pieces interspersed among the local traffic, crime, and weather reports.
