Last night CNN was falling for the “what’s the rush” BS. As in “What’s the rush? He does something illegal every frelling day. Why this illegal thing?”

With news that Trump co-conspirator Rudy Giuliani was in Hungary and Ukraine this week seeking foreign interference in the 2020 election, Pelosi has no choice. She needs to impeach Trump NOW.

Trump is on a crime spree and it will only get worse unless he’s removed.

Yes, I’m ready. I could quibble with the relative merits of proceeding quickly with fewer articles of impeachment versus a lengthier process with a greater number of articles, but I most affirmatively am not. I’m going to trust the Speaker and her judgement on this. She’s earned that.

I am concerned that it’ll be a clown show over in the Senate, as it seems Republican Senators have been scheming with Trump’s team, but that’s out of our control.

I just wonder what we’ll be left with the day after, if he’s not convicted or forced to resign. A seething, unpredictable madman…but infinitely worse than what we’ve seen up until now.

Yay! It’s about time! Impeach the bastard and about 10 more republiscums, I say!

I dread what we’re in for post-catharsis. The Senate trial is going to be a circus of indignation, and he’ll double down on exactly the election interference he got impeached for, leaving us entirely vulnerable to another 2016.

Thank you, Madam Speaker.

If it looks to you as if what comes after could be “infinitely worse than what we’ve seen until now,” why the rush to get there?

Works for me. Laser focused. Getter done.

We’re right. They’re wrong. Keep going.

Given Trump’s mental decline and his continuous disregard for the rule of law, we’d have that anyway.

Trump is the mound of Jello that the GOP has decided it will die on. If not immediately, they will surely expire on it eventually. But the damage may never be repaired. The constitution may seem like a “quaint” antiquarian relic in the Trump aftermath.

Article in Salon today about how psychiatrists want their own impeachment panel and have been petitioning to try to get one. Maybe Pelosi could just suggest the possibility…

I was in a restaurant when this came on, and I had them turn up the volume on the TV. There was a table with three young girls peering at their phones, and I said to them that the most powerful woman in the world is giving a boot to the balls of the most powerful man in history, live on TV. They couldn’t give a shit.

When I left, I paid their bill, and told the waiter to tell them Nancy Pelosi just bought them lunch.

I think they should keep investigating and have more hearings. At the very least, whatever the politics, there’s more gold in them thar hills, and getting it exposed and on the record is critically important.

I believe Pelosi and House Dems decided to do it now for good reasons, but I’ve also seen that many people clamoring for the decision don’t even know how impeachment works (e.g.comments like “get rid of him now”). Hope there won’t be backlash from Dems’ side once they find out ttump won’t be removed.

Trump is like Al Pacino in Dog day afternoon in the midst of a bank robbery while Gaetz, Jordan and the Fox are enabling him shouting Attica!.

I remember a time when Jonathan Turley would appear on Keith Olbermann’s Countdown with some regularity during the Bush years. When did he become the mouthpiece for the GOP?

I’m assuming that even if it proceeds, they can still continue to call witnesses - like McGahn. Anyone know if this is true?

Turley is friends with Trump henchman Barr.
