I thought Trump’s goal was to get us out of foreign countries, and now we’re sending 3,000 more troops to Iraq. I thought the Iraqi government was going to decide soon whether or not they wanted us there. It doesn’t look like we’re going to respect their decision.

You know that didn’t think this through and their response should have been that they were after the Iraqi militia guy and lo and behold, who do they also happen to kill, but Soleimani. Clearly we should not expect the head of Quds to be in Iraq so it’'s not our fault that he was killed.

Trump breaks treaty because Obama did it and he wants to destroy Obama’s legacy in revenge.
Iran makes provocative moves because they have no reason not to.
Trump assassinates military leader.
War ensues.

My best guess is that she waits until right after the SOTU, giving Trump ample time for a public meltdown while on national TV.
Now that polling shows 57% of the public wants witnesses and additional evidence at the trial, Moscow Mitch is under even more pressure than before.
He’s likely to fold, but he’ll couch it in terms that make him look better than he should do.
