Pelosi Blasts House GOP Leadership For Doing Nothing To Punish Greene | Talking Points Memo

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday took aim at Republican leadership hours before the full House is expected to vote to strip Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) of her committee assignments in the wake of her inflammatory and conspiracy-ridden remarks that recently resurfaced.

Perhaps someone has a recording of the original statement by Greene to the GQP… IF they play it, and she gets a standing ovation from the Democrats THEN I might believe she said anything conciliatory.

““For some reason, they have chosen not to go down that path, even though (House Majority Leader Steny) Hoyer (D-MD) gave (House Minority Leader Kevin) McCarthy (R-CA) sufficient notice this is a path we would follow,” Pelosi said.”

Kevin McCarthy and party are about to find out that the light in that tunnel is really a train.

It’s bad enough that the GOP caucus accepts an openly crazy conspiracy theorist without critical comment, but refusing to even censure her for endorsing the assassination of political opponents is . . . my vocabulary fails me.

Polite Pelosi: Your kid is a menace to the rest of the class. Do something or we will.
Mealy-Mouthed McCarthy: I’ll have a talk with her.
Hammerin’ Hoyer: It’s GO time!

I just love this …strong rhetoric…followed by strong action.

So happy with the Democratic party right now.

Congress is quickly being populated by Republican partisan hacks with no intention of doing anything other than clinging onto their overpaid “jobs.”

I’ve seen a little pushback arising to the rhetorical strategy of tying the GOP to the QAnon delusion, to the effect that it will be counterproductive because it just validates Q as a tenet of opposition to the Democrats. I think that’s dead wrong. The insurrectionist freakshow of QAnon World is repellant to everyone other than the most hardcore MAGA voters, and making MTG and the rest of the loons in their caucus the face of that party is both true and a perfectly valid political point.

Methinks the lady doth protest a bit much. Greene is a money-magnet for the Dems in the next cycle. People will crawl across glass to vote against Republican candidates. Ironically, Qevin wouldn’t discipline her or void her committee assignment because he sees her as a money-raiser for the party.

More likely Twin Peaches told Qevin to back her. TP wants to play kingmaker, and fucking with the gop house is easy.

It’s impossible to blast GOP House leadership.

Because it doesn’t exist. Just GQP.

From CNN. Good! It’s about time someone on the Democratic side understands these guys will shiv you no matter what you do for them.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters this morning she has no concerns about Republicans retaliating for Democrats moving to strip GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committees.

“If anybody starts threatening the lives of members of Congress on the Democratic side, we’d be the first to eliminate them from committees. They had the opportunity to do so. I’m not answering any more questions about it," she told reporters.

Agree. Shining light onto these nutty Q conspiracies is the best disinfectant, at this stage, and with this particular nut job. Give her all the red yarn she needs to explain exactly how the Jew aliens are using the spaceships to control the sun in kahoot with the Rothschilds to build a high speed train.

Normally you don’t want a facist populist speaking their mind to people, but for her we’ll make an exception.
