Fox Business Network host Charles Payne argued during a Monday morning segment on Fox News that Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) win in the Nevada Democratic caucuses last weekend is to blame for a plunge in the stock market.
“Well we gotta blame something!”
“Maybe blame, I dunno, the f***ing Captain Trips epidemic staring us in the eye?”
“But how does that help God Emperor Donald, though?”
If the health insurance stocks got hit, one could ask if that’s because there’s pressure on them because of the number of infected patients here in the States. I don’t know. I don’t own any of those stocks, so whatever.
But blaming it on a candidate that’s not even halfway through the primary process? Hell, you’d have better luck blaming it on Trump being in India, much closer to the epidemic area.
Yeah, why would hospital and insurance stocks take a hit when fears of a worldwide pandemic increase substantially over the weekend? It makes no sense how those two things would be connected, it’s far more likely that a political race would crash the market instead.
These people get paid far too much money to be such idiots, Fox should go find people on the street, though they may be more sensible.
