From the FatFelon on down, this bunch will never, ever admit that they screwed up. That is another rightwing hardline trait. They cannot admit to being wrong about anything, because that is the breeze that begins the gale that blows down their house of cards. It is all about being “god’s chosen” that makes it imperative that everything they do is “perfect, beautifull and always RIGHT”

The trans people in the military issue has a parallel situation here in my town of Loveland, CO. I attended a school board meeting on Wednesday that had over 100 citizen remarks either for or against a particular board member who’s very anti-trans. She had gathered her minions to argue against trans women in girls sports. So local allies gathered to support the trans kids. I left after about 2 hours and they were still going strong.

Oooh, catnip for this guy who knows Jesus spoke Aramaic but that the NT was written in Greek - the gospels a generation after his death (or later - Mark in the mid 70s, John between 85-125 [yikes!], and Matt and Luke - who the hell knows - go ask Q on which they are based (not “Anon”, I mean “Die Quelle” on which Luke and Matthew are based), Acts about ten years after his death. Yeah, Jesus’ ministry and what he said is a shit show for scholars. But yeah, let’s base a 21st century government on that foundation of (quick) sand . . . .
