HAHAHAHA! No wonder UAW was babbling nonsense about the companies absorbing the costs. Fucking nonsense. Mango is effectively bribing the union…which went all in for Harris…to pull them into his corner, and it’s working. We may witness some backwards ass shit with the union trying to throw its weight around to demand that the companies somehow eat the cost of the tariffs just so sales don’t crater and union members will have more jobs building cars because something something “reshoring”.

Is it normal for a U.S Attorney to proclaim they want to help elect people to office? I can’t recall a U.S. Attorney acting as an advocate for a candidate, from their perch as the U.S. Attorney.

Donald Trump’s new pick for the interim U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Alina Habba, disclosed on Thursday that she didn’t even want her plum new job in the first place.

In a Thursday interview with Real America’s Voice, she revealed that she initially tried to turn down the offer—telling Trump that she “did not” want to leave the White House, where she had been serving as the president’s counselor. However, after much pushing on his part, she realized that she seemingly had no choice.

Sad or not, the president apparently persisted, saying that Habba wasn’t leaving, really, and that she could return whenever she pleased.
After relenting, she said she set a new goal for herself — helping Republicans win New Jersey.

“We could turn New Jersey red,” she insisted. “And I think New Jersey is absolutely close to getting there. So hopefully while I’m there, I can help that cause.”

Trump is unwilling to fire officials involved in the Signal group chat “because doing so would be a tacit admission of fault and seen as handing a victory to the Atlantic magazine”

Too late. They won.

Rather than mounting a concerted legislative effort to block DOGE’s rampage, Republican lawmakers are scrambling to make personal appeals to head off DOGE cuts

United we stand. Divided we fall. Republicans don’t believe that. They don’t believe in America.

the security arrangements we’ve had with Canada are over.

The American people are in greater danger now. The Republican Party is an abject failure.

Rubio: “if you come into the US as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don’t want it. We don’t want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country.”

Saying what you think is “creating a ruckus.” He sounds like a Jim Crow sheriff. Just proudly trampling on the most basic American values.

His mind still lives in the 70’s and 80’s when car manufacturing was the symbol of industrialization and potent economy. But now it’s a mid-tech industry best left to countries like Mexico, Brazil and Romania. By chasing times gone by, and neglecting and harassing the scientific communities, he is ensuring that the next big thing is developed outside the US.

I think America no longer believes in America. The sooner we cleave into two nations, the better. Otherwise it’s going to be 1859 all over again.
