Oversight Chair Asks Travel Companies To Preserve Records Related To Capitol Riot | Talking Points Memo

Would be interested to know if they let the guy who beat this cop with an American flagpole released on his own recognizance too. I do believe they arrested him. That’s all we’ll hear in the mainstream news I’m afraid. How do you make the judicial system take these insurrectionists seriously and hold them until trial? Seriously, if this kind of shit doesn’t make judges send a message then I don’t know what will.

I never realized Antifa had such wealth to distribute.

Has anyone ask these geniuses what form of government they were going to install if they had succeeded ?
Maybe some Senators and more then 100 House members knew.

What a revelation. Many of us have said that for years. Truthfully, media has been culpable in pushing Rumpism. We saw it every time one of Rump’s sycophants were interviewed etc.

Also involved are something like 19 State Republican Attorneys General. This is much bigger than many of us first thought. Imagine presumably what are supposed to be “non-partisan” Attorneys Generals when it comes to the law, and from several states, funding and supporting this insurrection to bus so many of these people to the Capitol. Its mind-blowing.

ETA: That’s why you can’t have this DoJ under tRump investigate this until a whole new leadership is put in place by a Biden administration.

Ken Cuccineli is one of many who was put in charge of investigating at this point. Give me a break. VA former Attorney General. Riiight.

From Wikipedia:

According to a whistleblower complaint released in September 2020, Cuccinelli ordered the intelligence branch at DHS to modify its intelligence assessments to downplay the threat posed by white supremacy groups and to instead focus on “left-wing” groups such as the antifa.

Rounding up these thugs is important, but more important is finding out who paid for them to get to DC to riot. The QAnon Shaman showed up at the FBI to continue his interview (and get charged and arrested) in his 2003 Hyundai. Do you think he’s got a card with enough available credit to pay for both his organic diet and the flight and hotel he needed in order to join the festivities?

Signs point to “no.”

Now that is just not fair. How is a person supposed to be able to get likes on Parler if he can’t use a cell phone to document his crimes?

Yeah, I’ve frequently wondered how all these trailer dwellers with barely enough quarters to rub together to buy a pouch of Red Man tobacco can afford an AR-15 ($1900 retail) expensive tactical gear, travel, hotels, etc.

These people are anti government of the people. They are a witless bunch of hooligans. I’d imagine their lord and saviour Rump would be the Despot King they deserve. He’d appoint his family to govern over his dominion and all would be well after mob were pardoned.

I don’t know. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert give him a good run for his money. I say it will be a photo finish.

Has anyone read any credible estimate of how many rioters there were in total? I have not. I ask because that is an important element of the story. They’ve arrested “over 100” and “identified 200.” To what extent is that just a drop in the bucket?

Is there a fund set up? I’d donate to the cause.

But how will we ever know what Real Americans™ think, unless reporters camp out at The Cornhole Cafe in Opioid Junction, Tennessee, for the next four years?

(The vast majority of citizens who live in cities need somebody to spoon feed them rural “thought”.)

So I guess we’ll find out today after his first arraignment if they’ll lock him up awaiting trial as they would with most attempted murderers, force him to post bail (some have been let go without so much as having to do that), require him to wear a monitoring device and/or released on his own recognizance. Its Arkansas ffs, so my guess is there’s a 50/50 that he’ll be let go awaiting trial.

They’re playing that clip several times on MSNBC. Don’t know if it’s getting that much coverage elsewhere. Hope so.
