There were over a dozen American officials at the World Health Organization (WHO) in January who were working on COVID-19 and had raised the alarm to President Donald Trump’s administration of the danger of the pandemic.
I’m… not sure Ms Oakley is an unbiased source.
Since the WHO officials didn’t communicate by the administration’s preferred means—Waving large guns and confederate flags on fox news—the calls were never received.
There’s a perfectly logical explanation for Trump’s lack of response…he mistook these officials for human scum.

No, Caitlin, it doesn’t change the information you are getting from WHO, but it damned sure ought to help you read between the lines. It also gives you information about how the leadership is filtering information, and that’s pretty damned useful, too.

I want them in jail, too. But I don’t want them in jail at the price of criminal prosecutions following every change of party, and I believe that would be the cost. Worse still, criminal prosecutions run properly create room for an acquital. That would be worse than just letting them go.
We start the day at 772k corona virus cases and 41,192 fatalities. Add in data from the VA and estimates from long term care facilities and we’re looking at about 48,000 deaths and closer to 830,000 cases.
At this rate, if the average fatalities per day is 1500, we’ll hit 60,000 fatalities in about 12 days. However, I do think there will be adjustments to add in long-term care facility counts and more excess fatalities from other states, which means the true death toll is probably already closer to this target. We may see more updates this week like the one NYC added last week.
