Justin Amash? I realize that he didn’t run for re-election, but when did he get no committee assignments? I mean Steve King got booted off his committee assignments after his own party got tired of his racism, but Justin got the same treatment?
When I was in graduate school we talked about choosing which hill we were willing to die on during our careers. It was an interesting thought process. Generally, it was about taking some hits so that we would be around to fight the big fights. I would love to hear what hill our current Senators and Congresspersons would be willing to die on. Evidently the sanctity of elections or the Constitution don’t cut it.
