Outgoing GOP Rep. Accuses Colleagues Of ‘Mindless’ Obedience To Trump | Talking Points Memo

Outgoing Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-TX) rebuked his GOP colleagues for what he called a “mindless sort of obedience” to President Donald Trump, saying the blind following “doesn’t do credit to the individuals” and ultimately undermines democratic institutions.

Why is it ALWAYS the “outgoing” GOP cucks, never the “current”?

Lack of gonads maybe?

That counts as rebellion for them. The way these born-again units work is the way the mafia works - gotta sell your whole soul.

Is it really a lack of gonads or do most of them agree with him, but maybe wish he were more strategic in how he proceeded towards their goals?

A: greed and fear.

These death bed conversions are going to be a fig leaf for the GOP for the next four years.

OT:
Well, this guy is certainly more qualified than DeVos:

> President-elect Joe Biden has chosen Miguel Cardona, the education commissioner for Connecticut and a former public school teacher, to serve as education secretary.

Wouldn’t greed lead them to be quieter, as few would hire a loud-mouth to be a lobbyist?

Funny how the Republicans manage to find their backbones as they walk out the door.

It would be nice if these brave souls spoke out before they were packing up their offices to leave congress.

Matt Gaetz has announced that he will join in the challenge to the electoral votes on January 6.

He’s also announced that he will not get the COVID vaccine.

I know what outcomes I’m hoping for here.
How about you?

Justin Amash? I realize that he didn’t run for re-election, but when did he get no committee assignments? I mean Steve King got booted off his committee assignments after his own party got tired of his racism, but Justin got the same treatment?

When I was in graduate school we talked about choosing which hill we were willing to die on during our careers. It was an interesting thought process. Generally, it was about taking some hits so that we would be around to fight the big fights. I would love to hear what hill our current Senators and Congresspersons would be willing to die on. Evidently the sanctity of elections or the Constitution don’t cut it.
