Three Moments From Last Night’s Ossoff-Collins Debate Sen. Jon Ossoff (D) and Rep. Mike Collins (R) held their second debate in the Georgia Senate race Tuesday, and many of the themes of the first reemerged. Ossoff turned over the many ways in which, even within the context of today’s Republican Party, Collins’ radicalism is on…

That cat’s expression is the perfect reflection of how I feel this morning. There had better be some good news soon or I’m going back to bed. Is he dead yet?

Let’s get this straight.

There is no possibility that the First Felon will accept any election results that don’t give him 100% GQP representation in the House and the Senate.

If we start there, we can actually do something.

To the administration’s mind, any Democrat winning any seat is election fraud. Period.

Character.AI declares bankruptcy, citing legal and business woes

Character.ai said it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, with its chief executive attributing the chatbot provider’s financial problems to “significant legal, regulatory and operational headwinds.”

Character.ai’s financial struggles follow scrutiny and litigation over its technology, which uses artificial intelligence to create custom bots consumers can chat with. In early 2026, Character.ai and Google, which had a licensing deal with the AI company, agreed to settle several lawsuits filed by families who claimed their teenage children died by suicide or harmed themselves after using Character.ai’s platform.

Reposting this from yesterday.

You have to watch. Katie Zacharia as a young beauty pageant contestant, answering a question about why so many Americans can’t locate the US on a map. Demonstrating Donald Trump-level incoherence and inability to complete a sentence. They speak the same language! Also begs the question how she managed to be admitted, let alone graduate, from the Pepperdine University law school, a top tier school.

Come on, give her a break, blond bimbos need more job opportunities beyond beauty contests.

I used to be an actor. I urge us all to take seriously the purpose of the performance emotions the Trump show is parading in front of us, manipulating us or trying to.

The Trump show wants voters frightened, panicky, hysterical, whatever buttons they have to press. But the Trump show has lost its mojo.

That sets up an increasing risk of violence from some very pissed-off fascists.

No, that isn’t this Katie.

That was Lauren Caitlin Upton, who ultimately went by Catie. Not the same person.

It is, again, Katie Zacharia , the new White House press secretary, who, after a news cycle about her election-denying and Pizzagate-promoting social media posts, promptly created a new news cycle about whether she, a self-identified lawyer, passed the bar exam in China — which is just not a thing that happens — or didn’t pass it at all.

I’m going with, “Didn’t pass it at all,” just like with all those other things the regime claims it’s doing (better healthcare, infrastructure, control the Strait of Hormuz, peace between Ukraine and Russia, …) but doesn’t, actually.

Jon said last night he has zero interest running for President. I guess he can change his mind.

If she never tried, of course she didn’t pass.

If someone somewhere as evidence that she at least sat for it, fine.

Hell, the Kennedy kid I think had to sit three times before he passed the bar. It’s not a crime if you don’t pass.

You can’t win if you don’t play - that’s what this is about.

Huh. One of the disadvantages of face-scaping procedures is there is no way to tell one blonde bimbo from another. Seriously, that’s just sad.

I have a tinfoil hat theory about why she may have never taken the bar exam. A licensed lawyer has responsibilities for their client, including (I looked it up on Google, I’m not a lawyer):

Confidentiality (Attorney-Client Privilege): Lawyers are required to protect all information relating to the representation of a client, preventing unauthorized disclosure.
Loyalty and Fiduciary Duty: Lawyers owe undivided loyalty to their clients and must act in their best financial and legal interests.
Conflict of Interest Avoidance: Lawyers cannot represent a client if that representation involves a concurrent conflict of interest with another client, a former client, or the lawyer’s own personal interests, unless informed consent is legally obtained.

Plus some other stuff about “duties as an officer of the court” that wouldn’t apply if she’s never been in court. So my theory is that she found out that she can get well-paying and well-connected gigs as a “legal adviser” without any of those messy requirements, making her more of a free agent without the risk of being disbarred.
