I think you’re confirming what we know about people in bureaucracies: They’ll adapt to nearly any kind of incompetence at the top. They’ll adapt or quit.
Sometimes they do quiet sabotage, just short of criminal acts.
There are all kinds of data that show that a large percentage of managers are incompetent, abusive or both. Wonder how anything gets accomplished.

His Federalist Society bio indicates, among other things, that:
“Recently, he served as Chief of Staff to the Wisconsin Office of Special Counsel investigation into election administration.”
This is presumably a reference to the 'investigation" that Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos ordered but ultimately distanced himself from when the final report emerged, based as it reportedly was on discredited theories and threadbare evidence. That effort was led by disgraced former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, which precipitated a civil action for records documenting the “Special Counsel’s” proceedings; TPM reported about this circus in several articles at the time.
Last I knew, a disciplinary action against Gableman was still pending.

The absence of the name of the 7th Cir. judge for whom he clerked looks, um, strange. Perhaps it appears in other news about this guy, or perhaps that court now has an expectation that its law clerks not to name the judges for whom they clerked in post-clerkship publications, bio sketches etc, but that would be new. Not saying he’s stretching the truth, just seems a little unusual.

As someone who loves conspiracy tales, I believe the man behind the curtain is not Trump or Elmo (Musk), but Vance. I believe that it’s Vance, hoping someone with some common sense and more productive range time than the kid in Butler had will take the initiative and remove the Orange Ashole (and draft dodger).
