Oops: WH Press Secretary Accidentally Flaunts Trump’s Bank Info During Briefing

Who says the White House is hostile to the notion of transparency?

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany got a little too honest with the media during Friday’s press briefing as she touted President Donald Trump’s $100,000 donation from his salary to the Department of Health and Human Services’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hackers successful in using the leaked information to access the account were subsequently crushed to find that the Trump account was not only empty, but significantly overdrawn as well.

Unless you’re Trump, crime DOESN’T pay.

I guess they don’t teach you at Georgetown, Oxford, or Harvard Law that modern cameras tend to have high resolving power and images can be magnified to read even fine print at normal distances. I wonder what a moderately skilled hacker could do with a name, an account number, and a routing number? Silly of me, though. I’m sure the Russians have a copy of every financial document he ever signed or initialed or had something to do with in any way.

I’m not aware of any proof he’s had a net worth in positive territory for the last 30 years.

Boy, will that hacker who tries to steal the money in Trump’s account be embarrassed when he finds out the account is overdrawn.

ETA: Darn, foiled again by @maximus.

I’m thinking Lindsey Lohan should play her in an SNL Skit.

Trump should just go whole hog and put his social security number out there as well. I’m pretty well certain no one wants to steal his identity.

I guess the loop-hole is that Kayleigh did the bragging and not Trump?

Matthew 6 - "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly."

Of course, cutting a check is one thing…actually mailing to the payee is another.

Wonder if it in fact got sent…

This Press Secretary spends too much time on appearance and too little time training to be a press Secretary.

“Leave it to the media to find a shameful reason not to simply report the facts, focusing instead on whether the check is real or not,” [White House spokesperson Judd Deere] said in a statement.

Gee, Judd. I wonder what it is about Chiselin’ Trump and his previous charitable donations from the Trump “Foundation” that would cause someone to harbor doubts? Maybe David Fahrenthold knows.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but…

If you’re still holding the check, then you haven’t “paid” anyone.

You’ve just written a check.

That you’re still holding.

(And, no, I’m not a graduate of the London School of Economics, but I did take a Business class in junior high school once.)

If you can convince Central Casting that you look the part, then it doesn’t actually matter if you can do the job.

Although I have to admit she’s doing a rip-roaring good job at bald faced lying, which is the only requirement for this particular position in this (mal)administration.

I only took typing, but I can understand your point.

Is it bad if I can’t tell the difference between an SNL skit and an ACTUAL press briefing at the White House?
