It’s too late the Glynn County Police are out in force providing eviden that Arbery was no angel, and that the McMichaels were within their god given rights to defend themselves by hunting him down.
I’m waiting for the police records of both McMichaels to be released to the media, just as Arbery’s was. Any of the interactions they might have had with law enforcement during the entirety of their adult lives. Particularly the son.
Waiting…but not holding my breath.

There were two crimes that day. The murder of Arbery and a “conspiracy of blue to cover it up”. The conspiracy was of the usual order. Pepper the issue with irrelevant allegations against the victim in hope of making people think he deserved to die. The killers had ties to law enforcement and the police department that responded is a rinky dink pudunk one. The problem they had was we’ve seen it before in the Travon Martin murder and are on to it. Law enforcement types or in the case of Zimmerman wannbes arm up looking for trouble. In both cases the Black kid is accosted while doing nothing wrong. And ends up dead. Small town cops let the killers go on flimsy ridiculous claims and “code of blue” bullshit.
I don’t think it’s going to work this time.

Not going to happen. Both red necks had ties to law enforcement so if there was dirt it’s gone now.

I don’t think they’re going to much success with that. The case is now out of the hands of the local yokals and the law has been horribly mutilated in the back and forth about this. In Georgia you MUST see a felony in commission to justify citizen’s arrest. The red necks saw no such thing. In Georgia you cannot instigate a confrontation then shoot your way out of it under the protection of SYG. They road blocked the kid and approached him with firearms. That will be deemed an aggravated assault by any objective law enforcement agency. Arbery had every right under SYG to try and take that shotgun away. The media has misrepresented this murder as a citizen’s arrest that ended tragically. It wasn’t. Just like they did in the Travon Martin killing. Zimmermen was repeatedly portrayed as a “security guard” but he was no such thing. Voluntary or otherwise. It added a shade of legitimacy to the Travon murder just as “citizen’s arrest” does the Arbery murder.
I don’t think it will work this time.

What has changed since the Treyvon Martin case that makes you think that? On the contrary thanks to Trump the country has regressed a lot and open racism is now acceptable, “Alternate facts” are now judged as good as the real ones and all it needs is a PR campaign in Fox News to get any traitor and war criminal of the hook. And if you go to Fox News web site you can see that the campaign to smear Arbery is in full swing. Mark my words the McMichaels walk, and if they don’t Brian Kemp will promptly pardon them, after all he has no black votes to lose.
A video for one. Had a video of the Martin killing been made and a DA with half a brain ( the one that went after Zimmerman did not ) prosecuted the case Zimm would be doing life plus 40. The video erases the initial excuses. That’s why 2 days after it went public the red necks were in jail without bond.

It astounds me that the rednecks were so convinced of their own heroism that they made sure to video their conspiracy to assault and, ultimately, murder a man. But for that cell phone video, they would have gotten away with it. And they may still.

Well, since there’s video evidence that they killed a man, I guess I’d be within my god-given rights to hunt them down.
Why do you fret so much about FOX News? Do you think FOX will be in that courtroom? Stop with the FOX crap…they don’t matter unless you make them matter.

Of course they are they are, living in the head of at least one juror. That is why it took so much to convict Michael Slager, even when there was a video of him shooting a man in the back. The state trial ended in mistrial, in great part because prosecutors performed badly. He finally went to jail on federal charges.
Don’t think it will work this time? I wouldn’t be so sure.
The quip someone made was, “it’s not because they saw the video, it’s because WE saw the video.”

A symptom of the abject failure of the reconstruction project to properly reintegrate the Southern States into America.
Also remember: the guys who killed Arbery weren’t arrested because the cops/DA/etc saw the video; the guys were arrested because WE saw the video.
