“… the reproductive health of women is now more regulated than it has been in 50 years”
And certainly more than guns. So if you are a gun owner esp of more than one don’t tell me you are pro-life, when you really are anti-woman.

I don’t understand how any woman can vote Republican.

My lack of understanding is less nuanced, I think. I don’t understand how any woman anyone can vote Republican.

There’s a small (albeit not small enough) group of morally deficient people who reasonably believe that republicans will deliver direct benefits to them – and them as opposed to the rest of the citizenry. The other 90-plus percent, idunno.

Meanwhile, I think the ultimate outcome of Dobbs depends on how closely republicans can control public information outlets. Eventually, if informed, people are going to deal with the issue either by migrating or by t’rowing da bums out.

Good morning all, hope you are well. We really have our work cut out for ourselves. Same as it ever was.
Once the religious, the hunted and weary
Chasing the promise of freedom and hope
Came to this country to build a new vision
Far from the reaches of kingdom and pope
Like good Christians, some would burn the witches
Later some got slaves to gather riches

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

And once the ties with the crown had been broken
Westward in saddle and wagon it went
And 'til the railroad linked ocean to ocean
Many the lives which had come to an end
While we bullied, stole and bought our a homeland
We began the slaughter of the red man

But still from near and far to seek America
They came by thousands to court the wild
And she just patiently smiled and bore a child
To be their spirit and guiding light

The blue and grey they stomped it
They kicked it just like a dog
And when the war over
They stuffed it just like a hog

And though the past has it’s share of injustice
Kind was the spirit in many a way
But it’s protectors and friends have been sleeping
Now it’s a monster and will not obey

The spirit was freedom and justice
And it’s keepers seem generous and kind
It’s leaders were supposed to serve the country
But now they won’t pay it no mind
‘Cause the people grew fat and got lazy
And now their vote is a meaningless joke
They babble about law and order
But it’s all just an echo of what they’ve been told
Yeah, there’s a monster on the loose
It’s got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watchin’

Our cities have turned into jungles
And corruption is stranglin’ the land
The police force is watching the people
And the people just can’t understand
We don’t know how to mind our own business
'Cause the whole worlds got to be just like us
Now we are fighting a war over there
No matter who’s the winner
We can’t pay the cost
'Cause there’s a monster on the loose
It’s got our heads into a noose
And it just sits there watching

America where are you now?
Don’t you care about your sons and daughters?
Don’t you know we need you now
We can’t fight alone against the monster
h/t Steppenwolf monster/ suicide/ america…
Have a great wknd, keep the faith, and on Monday back to the grindstone, peace.

i will never understand why women are the only focus of the anti-abortion people; don’t they know that any pregnacy involves two people? how about campaigning against the men who impregnate the women? why isn’t there a campaign to demand a man accept responsibilty for their role in the pregnacy? i know women are all powerful, but she cannot impregnate herself… and these ‘pro-life’ creeps are not pro-life, they are forced pregnacy advocates.

Yeah, I have never understood the mindset that makes people think that just because they worship rich people, they feel that they can identify with the rich. I think it may be that they are so completely locked into being poor and have never even come in contact with any of these rich people, they have no idea how much they are derided by those “elites” that they admire…if they are noticed at all by those SOBs.

We should also remember that forced birth is not only bad for the mother, but for children as well. To grow up an unwanted child is hell on earth.

because 45* promised them baby bonuses for planting their seed - and it’s not men’s job to diaper and raised squally infants - so easy peasy

They all believe that they are just temporarily embarrassed rich people. When their ship comes in…

It is men’s commandment to be fruitful and multiply, increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it. Can’t let women jeopardize men’s holy duty by giving them a voice in the matter.

ETA: this Katz was my local Walgreens type drugstore with sundries when I was growing up. Then Scaggs bought it, and now there’s a Walgreens there. It was either destiny or Kismet.

It was ALWAYS all about ‘control’. Those pesky women would pay for thinking they had a choice. Ever.

" States with the most restrictive abortion laws also have limited access to pregnancy care and supportive programs for pregnant and parenting women."

How could it be any plainer? This is 100% about controlling women and 0% to do with caring about infants.
