Can we just give Minnesota to Canada and make it their problem?
As a Minnesotan, I’d be thrilled with that.
Can Iowa be Canadian, too, please? The anti-democracy, anti 1st Amendment, and anti-civil rights law linked below passed by republican-controlled Iowa House and Senate. Was sent to Governor Kim Reynolds on June 3, 2021 for signing.
John Elder, the department’s director of public information, told news outlets that “the use of drugs or alcohol … may be a contributing factor in this crash.”
Intoxication is not a defense to murder charges.
T**** Press Statement
“Many fine people on both sides of that barrier, I’m sure”
No, but notable how quick the po-po are to come up with any excuse that makes it an “accident” or other vice a MAGA terrorist attack.
To hell with “Defund the Police”, we need to “Disband the police” and build new security forces as there is clearly no way to simply reform the current ones.
“the use of drugs or alcohol … may be a contributing factor in this crash.”
Liquid courage
Minnesota can’t go to Canada because Iowa sucks.
Another day, another murderous shitbag conservative.
According to the recently enacted Florida law if an incident like this occurred there the driver would have immunity from prosecution and walk free. Their lawyer could argue that they were scared and had to flee the unruly protesters.
How about New York? We’re on the Canadian border too!
And a right-wing terrorist on meth or alcohol is still a right-wing terrorist.
Videos from the ground showed a man, presumably the driver, being held in a headlock and then being handed over to law enforcement.
A nagging question. The guy applying the headlock was probably black. How did he manage not to get shot by the police?
I remember reading this a view months ago. And today there are about 30 states considering it:
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) —
A Republican-backed bill aimed at cracking down on protests by increasing penalties for blocking roadways and granting immunity to motorists who kill or injure rioters received final legislative approval on Wednesday.
The state Senate voted 38-10, mostly along party lines, for the bill that now heads to the governor’s desk.
Hey now…
It’s going to get worse before it gets worse…
And to those here who wish to be in Canada… Cool.
Just don’t move here.
~OGD~
More often liquid stupidity.
Isn’t it now legal to run over and murder peaceful protesters with speeding vehicles in some confederate states?
Some very conservative intellectuals have made impassioned arguments that it is a way to show conservative support of police brutality and to oppose the idea that black lives matter.
“Minnesota can’t go to Canada because Iowa…”
I can’t gopher that. No can do.
