One Step Closer: DC Bar Panel Recommends Giuliani Be Disbarred - TPM – Talking Points Memo

Rudy Giuliani should be disbarred for bringing “frivolous” and “destructive” cases alleging voter fraud in the 2020 election, a committee of the D.C. bar said on Friday.

Rudy, I believe, is gonna be first. How many more?

Rudy earned disbarment and a little cell time for his role in planning the coup.

The recommendation goes on to the D.C. bar’s board of professional responsibility, and then the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

When…and then what? Can he keep saying the nonsense he’s been on about indefinitely even when disbarred…people that believe him and the Don aren’t going to stop and neither are they.

Lyn Wood just yesterday resigned from the bar to avoid getting the old heave-ho.

It would be a good idea for the Democrats to contact every state that Giuliani is licensed to practice law in, and recommend to their ethics committee that they should also consider recommending that he be disbarred in that state. If this was successful, it would be a message to future MAGgot lawyers, that frivolous law suits have a professional cost.

I think California is lining Eastman up for the boot.

Now do Billy Barr…

On the upside, let’s hope he has plenty of time to study in the prison law library and get a new degree & license.

Good.

But methinks Rudy has bigger problems - see Smith, Jack.

I kinda hate to laugh at this (which I did, out loud), because he’s a truly pathetic individual. But he and his ilk and have been wantonly vandalizing our society for so long, and it saps my ability to feel pity for them.

Now, if we could do something about the MAGAt judges issuing the frivolous, but nationwide in effect, court rulings.

Court Reform.

Joe should start dropping all kinds of executive orders, let the judiciary show itself, over and again to be the hacks they are, striking them down. Make next June’s news be all about this Courts radical nature? Ride into the Convention on a court reform and returning women’s rights, safeguarding contraception and marriage equality…

No doubt Cannon will be showing herself to be a hack at the same time.

He can always keep speaking. Nothing short of death will completely stop that. That’s just a universal truth.

What he won’t be able to do is speak as a member of the bar, with the imprimatur of the legal profession behind his words. Nor will he be able to make arguments in front of a court of law or other judicial body.

What value his inability to do those things has to you as an individual is a matter of your perspective.

Speaking as a lawyer, being disbarred is a pretty fucking huge deal, and I personally don’t know any other lawyers who would disagree with that statement.

On the other hand, I’m relatively young in my career and I’m not a well-connected public figure like Giuliani. Whether or not he cares is something only he knows.

I wonder what he even knows anymore.

He may not be competent to stand trial by the time that comes…

Being disbarred in one jurisdiction is liable to get a lawyer disbarred in every jurisdiction into which they’ve been admitted without any other outside intervention required.

I’m confident that he’s conscious of every slight, insult, or injury to his character. That’s a defining characteristic of narcissists.
