But were the masks that they sent the VA real, or counterfeit?

Come on eh! That’s the beauty of capitalism as we know it.

How come Trump’s Feds did NOT seize these masks for Kushner/“our stockpile”?

Did Trump/Kushner smelled a fellow rat or is Cardiff & Bedi their BFF?

No, they did not, in the slightest. Anyone who’s worked with federal contracting knows you’ll get a hot poker in an uncomfortable place without performing your full due diligence. This is graft both inside and outside the VA. Trying to claim this is a no-bid contract under COVID exigency is even more laughable, especially at $14.5 million.

The VA, which has struggled to provide protective equipment to medical workers at the largest hospital system in the country, said the company successfully provided 8 million surgical masks.

They were not N95 masks, so not as difficult to get legitimate masks. I’m guessing the real issue is that they charged a markup well into the price gouging territory.

You know if someone’s whole campaign shtick was “I’m a successful businessman” he sure didn’t pick business people to source needed materials during a f*cking international pandemic.

Well, what Trump means by “successful businessman” is unrepentant conman so by that standard he’s been widely successful.
