So the lesson learned is the more lawlessness the better.
All the illegal actions mentioned in the article and at the end of it no consequences or actions taken to stop the criminal behavior because it’s so overwhelming. Too much crimin’ so do nothing?

“Trump himself” was my first thought. He’s got a bored dilettante’s finger in everything. Ballrooms, battleships, performing/pugilistic arts centers, Gaza gentrification, White House gildification and formal garden destruction. With him “in charge”, it will be guaranteed no actual work will be done, but every stupid whim and grunt addressed.
Anyone who’s been paying attention knows that Trump has gone mad. Use whatever 21st c therapy-speak you want; the man is not fit to hold office, ANY office. What will it take to wake up the Republicans in Congress? I’m guessing the collapse of their portfolios will have an effect.

Currently the law does not matter, or at least it does not constrain the Trump administration from imposing its agenda on all, from defunding major government agencies and programs to firing any and all independent watchdogs to seeking revenge against opposition figures. I don’t know where we go from here, even if Trump is finally booted out and Vance does not win in the 2028 presidential election.

All the more reason for the Democrats to shut the whole fucking works down at the end of January until Trump agrees to fire Vought and ceases impounding funds duly authorized by the Congress.
The Democrats CANNOT tolerate this BS. They will be back in charge of the Congress in a year - just a year. They need to play take-no-prisoner obstructionist politics between now and then. They have the public’s back ! They need to start flexing some muscle.
Trump is weak, sick, moronic conman. Stop treating him like a regular POTUS - treat him like Putin - a criminal with an illegitimate title.

Unfortunately it looks like Russie Vought’s declared lifelong project of making the world safe for White Christian Fascist Kleptocracy has been thought out in pretty daunting detail. As we see in this GAO story, for example, he doesn’t seem to have missed a trick when it comes to defanging that pesky separation of powers nonsense that threatens the work of our current authoritarian and his authoritarian successors whose ascension Russie is so hot for.
