I’m guessing he won’t be pardoned this time.

“The Kentucky operative allegedly worked on the Russian straw donor scheme as he faced sentencing for the Iowa bribery scandal.”

So he was criming while being sentenced for criming?

Now that’s commitment!

(To paraphrase Bertrand Russell, “It’s criming all the way down.”)

Gee, it’s sooo shocking that this indictment didn’t happen during the four years of the Trump administration.

The pair of GOP operatives allegedly chose the $25,000 option, before creating an invoice for $100,000 in “consulting services” that they sent to the Russian businessman.

Only 4x markup. Why not pocket it all? Oh, they tried…

Prosecutors say that Trump fundraisers had to spend the next month haranguing Benton to get him and Wead to pay up for the $25,000 photo op.

Note to Trump: Need to pardon all their crimes when you’re doing it, or they’ll just go down for something different.

which involved taking $100,000 from an unnamed Russian businessman in exchange for a photo op with Trump himself.

Why is the rooskie unnamed?

Sounds like he’s a “monkey bar criminal,” swinging from one crime to another. Rotten! Rotten to the core!!

as he faced sentencing for the Iowa bribery scandal.
President Trump pardoned Benton for those crimes in December 2020.

Working a new election crime to pay for the pardon of the old election crime. There’s a certain Mel Brooks type elegance to it.

It’s almost as if that fscking “Steele Dossier” was a distraction from the criming that was going on right in front of us the whole fsking time.

Crime in plain sight… of Russians.

I would love, love, love to see that asshole Benton get an entire library thrown at him. The whole Paul klan is nothing but a bunch of grifter idiots and morons who exist on conspiracy theories and swindling even bigger morons.

Bertrand Russell?? Really? I thought it was Terry Pratchett: “It’s turtles all the way down.”

Sounds like the campaign got $25K and these guys split $75K. Grifters top to bottom.

OT, but BLM sure is doing everything they can to lose my support.

The security camera shows those three women started the fucking fight…not really a fight, more like just a beatdown. And this Attorney Moore who is representing them is a real piece of fucking work (the security footage doesn’t support his alternate facts story about them being victimized or the hostess “lunging” at them first). Apparently, since the juice isn’t there with taking to the streets over Floyd and others right now, they need to manufacture what so far appears to be complete fucking bullshit as their launchpad.

Get the fucking vaccine and STFU.

This is the stupidest timeline, so I’m just waiting on the businessman’s identity to be revealed.

Jesse Benton, who was campaign manager for Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY)’s 2014 re-election run, conspired on the scheme with Doug Wead, a conservative author who once co-wrote a book with former President George H.W. Bush

I unfortunately bought Wead’s book about presidential offspring. It was badly written, badly edited (or not edited), or both.
