On Way Out, Bevin Pardons People Convicted Of Violent Crimes

Former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin (R) has been prolific with his pardons since he lost his reelection to Democrat Andy Beshear in November, issuing so many before his final day in office that the Kentucky Secretary of State’s office has struggled to keep up.

Beat me to it!

Making Kentucky great again — for murderers, rapists, and pedophiles (who donate to Republicans).

This is really disturbing. And not even in an OMG! GOP hypocrisy! kid of way. This is just really disturbing, period. I would be equally horrified if a Dem did this, or more.

Now would be a great time to find out if any of these people are friends or family with McConnell.

I think that after Trump goes on a pardon spree (including himself and his family) on the way out the door, the country is going to need to reform our pardon system.

Nikki Haley told us that South Carolina doesn’t have hateful people. It would seem that if that’s true, it’s because they all moved to Kentucky.

It seems that if a situation is shitty then a Republican will step in and makes 10 X more shitty. Of the 400+ people he pardoned I’m hope that there were some deserving ones, but I doubt it.

I wonder if he pardoned a group of older prisoners so that the state won’t have pick up their healthcare costs?

I thought Bevin was carpetbagger? Does anyone know if he plans on staying in Kentucky?

So the anti-abortion extremist Matt Bevin pardoned a women that pitched a newborn into the sump of an outhouse?

It’s a mystery how that one mattered so much but Wayne Dumond did not.

Good Lord – can you imagine the wall-to-wall coverage on Fox News if a Democratic Governor did this on their way out the door. I’d bet there’s be more than a few show hosts discussing 2nd Amendment remedies right about now.

I understand the (terrible) logic of the pardon paid for by campaign donations, but what could be the reasons for the others? burn it all down on your way out?

Let me guess. Most, if not all, of those pardoned are White.
