And no matter how many times they say that nothing is wrong here, we can only repeat the old saying about ‘If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck for eff’s sake.’ It’s already been said but these people know no shame whatsoever. A pox on them and all their houses.
So … will the new Biden administration support the DOJ in pursuing insider trading on Sen. Burr and brother-in-law, as well as the other Republican Senate criminals, or will it be more of the old ‘moving forward, not back’ bullshit? That decision will say much about the future of American politics.
These sorts of financial crimes are different than the political ones. Don’t see Burr getting away with this, not if prosecutors now have another person of interest that they can talk to about the coincidence of them both selling the same day, despite the brother-in-law trading irregularly…
I would have absolutely no problem with Biden keeping prosecution of all these MFs in his back pocket as a threat, in order to make sure the Republicans don’t obstruct him like they obstructed Obama. It’s how you use power, something that Obama–for all his wonderful qualities–never really got, while it’s the only thing that Trump actually understands.
