I think the wearing of fur coats and apparel has fallen out of fashion in recent years, maybe with the exception of some wealthy people. The cost of purchasing and maintaining them along with how people view animal rights factor in.
The fur district in NYC has shrunk considerably. It’s not like the era when folks like Clyde Fraser would be rocking some long fur coat or women wearing a mink stole on a night out.
