These clowns really are the gang that can’t shoot straight.

You can’t manage racial gerrymanders if you don’t know the racial composition of Census tracts. Now there are a host of legitimate reasons we’d like to have accurate racial/ethnic breakdowns, but gerrymanders aren’t one of the legit reasons.

Hey, we can’t be discriminating against non-white voters…they don’t exist. Problem solved!

Well once they eliminate data on race then they can go after gender. The Old White Boy’s Club will rise again!

The only group Trump truly represents are the rich radical conservatives, everyone else is prey or expendable.

That’s not known on quite such a granular level, and especially so since American voters are increasingly not affiliating as “D” or “R”. Then you have states like Ohio, where the state knows which primaries you’ve voted in, but you have no official party affiliation unless you join your local Democratic Party or Republican Party club.

Without Census data, all you know is how the currently drawn precincts voted. That’s not good enough data to gerrymander a map.

With Lefty support, no less! How many decades have our intellectuals been assuring us that there’s no such thing as “race”? (Discrimination to the contrary, I guess?) And a more recent crusade holds that there’s no such thing as “sex”, either – it’s all just a “spectrum”? (Hundreds of thousands of years of reproduction to the contrary?)

While the Ivory Tower celebrates, the Good Ol’ Boys just smirk.

Ahh, but you see there will be a precipitous drop in citizens claiming to be white…and MAGA can’t have that as gerrymandering fails when there are far fewer “majority white” districts. So, they don’t want census that includes SP 15
