On IVF, Schumer Dares Senate GOP To Put Their Money Where Trump's Mouth Is

In Donald Trump’s desperate bid to win over voters who are, justifiably, concerned about the perilous position into which the Dobbs ruling has placed access to crucial fertility treatments like in vitro fertilization, the former president tried to cast himself as a “leader” on IVF during Tuesday night’s debate. In recent weeks, he’s also announced…

No way that I’m frist!!!

ETA: Trump has a bad habit of putting his party in places it doesn’t want to be . . . even though they’d asked to be there in the first place.

I’m not exactly sure what my point is here but I thought I would do my best to tie two (three?) unrelated threads together.

I will see myself out now.

Trump doesn’t care but how much support would that cost him from the religious community that worships him as though he was the son of man.

Um, you TPM folks might want to fact-check a little bit more carefully. Cindy Hyde-Smith is actually the junior senator from Mississippi, not Tennessee. So (R-MS), not (R-TN).

OT maybe not. What was trump doing at the WTC site yesterday? And, why was he allowed to drag Laura Looney along with him?
trump’s only action on 9/11/01 was to claim he had the tallest building in NY. Then he claimed he sent his construction workers to help with the clean-up. NOT
Rudy would have beeen a more legitimate show. Imagine that.

re Schumer I’ll believe it when I see it. I don’t have a lot of faith in that milquetoast.

He won because he is perfect. Just ask him. Everything is perfect! Perfect body, perfect hands, perfect skin, perfect voice, perfect kids…

(I suspect he does not know the definition of perfect.)

So Trump won’t debate Harris again? I’m shocked, if he really thought he won he should be itching to take her down again…though it’s possible his team convinced him he won so there wasn’t a need for a second round. Either way, it’s a bit disappointing, I was looking forward to the rematch.

They will still have Vance debate though, he’s a better debater, though he’ll be throwing the same lies at Walz who I expect to laugh in his face. He’ll also try to call Walz a liar about his military service…we might just see what happens when a command sergeant is attacked by a corporal. I suspect the Trump team figures that Vance will win against Walz and they can use that to declare victory over the Harris team. But, watch out for Trump to start declaring that he wants another debate since he beat Harris the first time, I expect to hear that at some point.

And Trump is an idiot for saying he’s a big IVF proponent…I doubt he cares either way, it’s just politically expedient. All the wobbling by Republicans over abortion is really hurting them, both by pissing off their base and by convincing women they are liars. Expect more ads about what Project 2025 does to women’s healthcare as we get closer to the election, it’s going to drive a lot of women to vote for their best interests this time around.

Rudy was there. Either it was him or a cathedral is missing a gargoyle. Though I guess it could have been Kimberly plasticface.

My high school line coach in football was known by one and all as “the Trapper.”

Schumer now taking cues from Tim Walz?
