that’s great, but speaking as someone in Ayanna Pressley’s district, she’s probably as certain of being reelected as anyone could be. I seriously doubt anyone would even run against her right now. All I’m saying is it seems there might be more closely contested districts out there that could use your money more than ours… if you’re finding the need to budget your donations.

Many Republicans are starting to believe as well. They can dismiss a lot of his antics as a reality show, but here’s the thing — it’s hot outside. Drugs are unaffordable. People are getting gunned down in plain sight.
When reality hits them, it isn’t objectified theatrics anymore.

And he let them continue for 13 seconds, according to the New York Times, not 10 seconds, as the article here says. And he when he resumed speaking, he said nothing to indicate that he did not agree with what the crowd was chanting.
One of his toadies said something about it being “just a normal rally chant.” But I guess Goebbels said the same thing about “Sieg Heil!”

Problem is, if Trump wins in 2020, they won’t be the only ones losing. We all do. We’re all in this boat together. If they wreck it, we get wrecked as well.

Pelosi has already called out Trumps comments as racist.
In fact, she loudly proclaimed his racism in a speech in the house despite house rules (passed by Ryan to benefit Trump) that may potentially have disallowed that.
There are enough things Dems need to do that Pelosi can’t do all of them.
And anyone who uses Teumps actions to beat on Dems should start considering themselves useful (fascist) idiots.

I understand your point of view. And I certainly understand that Rep. Omar would want to respond. But what is the effect of her response? Will it change any minds? Will it move any undecidedd voters? No and no. And she has risen to the bait. No profit in that.
I am being relentlessly practical here. I am not interested at this point in what feels good , even as I recognize it. I am only asking what will help to make Donald Trump an ex-president on January 20, 2021 (if he is not impeached before, as he should be). A rejoinder by someone more “moderate” might shake a little confidence in a few swing voters. (Joe Manchin comes to mind. Or Diane Feinstein. Even Amy Klobuchar, although I think it better if those running for the Democratic nomination did not take the lead on this one.)
Unfortunately, the Squad seems to lack humor. Too bad. Humor, particularly ridiculem would enrage Trump, all the more so if it came from his would-be victims.

Absolutely not. I was trying to think of a moderate Democrat, one who could be seen by those who are not completely besotted by Trump as not being part of the Squad, who looks little like a communist. Casey (being an anti-abortion Democrat) came to mind as being as far from Omar as you could get to find someone to take Trump on on this issue. If you can think of a woman who fits the bill, so much the better. But I was not thinking in terms of gender, just politics.
