Clarance Thomas has ordered the DOJ to have suggestions in oppostion to Trump’s Motion to Vacate the 11the Circuit by Tuesday. He didn’t have to issue the order. In a normal case he wouldn’t because the standards Trump has to reach would seem to be impossible as would the posture of the case including the relief Trump sought was in the nature of injunctive relief and after the 11th Circuit ruling Cannon amended to her order to release the 100 classified documents. .

Chief Justice Roberts should have yanked this from Clarence as soon as it landed on Clarence’s desk. If Roberts is so concerned about the reputation of the Supreme Court, NOW is the moment to take charge. Clarence is merely buying time, trying to let TFG down as easily as possible, rather than showing him the back of his hand from the git-go.
