Only surprising thing about another cheating Republican is that he resigned. Must be a whale of a story about to unfold.

Is his name Mike Turner, or Mike Hunter? The photo caption says Turner. And also, note, he must be a Republican.

Is it any wonder that Republicans are so untrusting?

It’s not cheating, it’s Alternative Fidelity.

Funny, the article doesn’t mention his party affiliation. Let’s see if we can figure this out. Oklahoma, tawdry sex scandal, white male. Hmm… it’s a tough one.

The paper reported Wednesday that Hunter’s resignation comes as it investigates an extramarital affair that it alleged the attorney general had with a state employee who did not work in his office.

Am I correct in understanding that, although this state employee did not work in Hunter’s office, this state employee was, nonetheless, employed by Hunter’s office?

He’s resigning to spend more time with his divorce attorneys.

From the Oklahoman story:

“Hunter, a Republican, has been attorney general since 2017, when he was appointed by former Gov. Mary Fallin to fill the unexpired term of Scott Pruitt. Hunter was elected to a full term in 2018 and was planning to seek reelection in 2022.”

Only the best people …

Why did he resign? This sounds like normal republican behavior to me.

It’d be shocking to find that he was anything other than a sleazebag.

How very Gaetzian of him…

And OF COURSE, he is one of the State AGs who joined Paxton’s suit in support of Who?'s big lie.

Yeah. A former congressman of mine not only did not resign but also ran for another term after a police report surfaced of a 911 call from his mistress accusing him of choking her. He later ended up paying his mistress an undisclosed sum of money.

Rick Santorum and GW Bush both still endorsed him.

If only he’d had an affair with a minor that he’d plied with drugs and money. Then he could be a GOP U.S. House Representative.

Ah, yes. Yet another perfect example coming from the party of Family Values.

He must be an improvement over Pruitt, because he didn’t wait for

"an avalanche of absurd scandals."

before resigning. Of course, maybe we just don’t know yet what else is involved, and I won’t speculate over sex trafficking, farm animals, really expensive phone booths, . . .

Suggests there’s more to come.
