Ohio National Guardsman Suspended For ‘White Supremacist’ Ideology | Talking Points Memo

Ohio Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said a member of the state’s National Guard was suspended and removed from a mission to quell disturbance at racial justice protests in Washington, D.C., after the FBI discovered comments the guardsman had posted online supporting white supremacist ideology prior to his assignment.

I’m sure we just aren’t hearing about all the ANTIFA guardsmen who are being suspended.

Your fault Governor. The Ohio National Guard has no place D.C.

The Ohio National Guard has…shall we say…a history.

(And this guy is just the tip of a heavily-armed, skull-cracking iceberg.)

Ohio sent 100 guard members to D.C. this week to help subdue social unrest amid recent anti-racism protests

The question is “Why?” The District, rightfully known as “The Last Plantation,” is under the thumb of the federal government. And last I checked, it has the largest military in the fucking world at its command.

“I don’t know all the facts,” DeWine said. “I’m not going to critique every single thing the Unites States President does.”

a sign of these fucked times. using the military to “battle space” the citizenry isn’t worth DeWine’s attention. man.

DeWine only steps as far as he can get without losing funding/cooperation from trump.

He gets push back from trump or the state legislature and he folds.

They’ll keep picking away the ones too stupid to help themselves and pretend it fixes something.

The bad apples have long since spoiled the bunch. It was all those centuries of refusing to get rid of them. There isn’t a properly functioning police department in any city in this country. They’ve been taught the wrong things for so long, it’s all they can imagine. There isn’t a working officer old enough to remember when the police weren’t at war with the people they supposedly serve.

It’s such a good thing that the GOP is lead by so many strong, independent-minded men…

DeWine was careful not to weigh in when prodded by a local Toledo Blade reporter on whether or not he supported Trump’s widely criticized decision earlier this week to forcefully clear peaceful protesters from a D.C. park in preparation for a presidential photo-op.

“I don’t know all the facts,” DeWine said. “I’m not going to critique every single thing the Unites States President does.”

DeWine is back to falling inline.
This last quote seems off to me. Oh it’s the Republican’s stand dodge and evade move. And is it odd that he doesn’t say “I’m not going to critique every single thing President Trump does”? Say His Name!

Seriously, when you have Kent State on your organizational resume, you think you’d tread a tad more cautiously with recruitment?

I will say that he closed the state early and resisted trump for quite awhile and leveraged being GOP to get things like the N95 reuse setup approved, added testing options at hospitals, etc

He just doesn’t step too far outside the lines.

ETA:. And I called him out when he caved.

They don’t sound ready to endorse Sen. Collins for reelection.
