Ohio GOP Senate Candidate Made Racist Comments About Asians

Investment banker Mike Gibbons, a top Republican contender in the race for outgoing Sen. Rob Portman’s (R-OH) seat, made racist remarks about people of Asian descent during one of his podcasts in 2013, citing debunked conspiracy theories in a pseudoscientific book, the New York Times found.

There you have it, in a nutsac, the United States of Stupid. And they sure do love them their stupids–especially the racist kind!

Gibbons sure has found a comfortable political home for himself, hasn’t he? He reminds me of one of those employees whose successor will have “small shoes to fill.”

People who parade their ignorance and stupidity so proudly are deserving of scorn, not political office. Gibbons is a fool.

Well-crafted pseudo-science masking a racist policy position but it seems doubtful this ‘top Republican contender’ has even bothered to read it before trotting out his pet prejudices.

And yet it might still be a winning vote-getter: The deep well of racial and gender bigotry in this country continues to astonish and dismay.

Ah, the ole Bell Curve…

People who come from cultures that value education are “smarter” than people who come from cultures that don’t (or can’t) and people who can’t pass their orals in English are “dumber” than one’s who can. And being able to recite “facts” is a better measure of intelligence than being able to critically evaluate and process them. This is intellectual laziness and man-splaining at its finest.

I’d like to see this angry, white Republican function in a country where English is not the language of instruction or doing business.

If anything sells in the fascistgop it’s hatred and bigotry. Displaying those ‘attributes’ is especially important in primary elections. In general elections they can always go with the ‘libs are satanic’ strategy if they feel their hatred and bigotry aren’t enough.

I wonder if J.D. Vance wants to join this particular parade by saying, “I gotta be honest with you, I don’t really care what happens to Asians one way or another.”

Might boost his polling–you never know what’ll click with Teh Base.

Bears a striking resemblance to TFG.

I was able to save a twelve pack of perfectly good toilet paper when I was given a copy of “The Bell Curve” back in the day. :poop:

I am deeply disappointed in my species that examples such as this are considered thoughtful leaders. As he is, he has not evolved very far from his beginnings, as referenced by his name.

Mike Gibbons is all over the airwaves in Ohio selling this shlock and is currently running near the front of the pack animals running in the GQP primary.

Is there a central casting institution somewhere for GOP crank candidates? They seem to be coming out of the woodwork.

Doesn’t this make Mr. Gibbons an Asian?

Gibbons (/ ˈ ɡ ɪ b ə n z /) are apes in the family Hylobatidae (/ ˌ h aɪ l ə ˈ b æ t ɪ d iː /).The family historically contained one genus, but now is split into four extant genera and 20 species. Gibbons live in subtropical and tropical rainforest from eastern Bangladesh to Northeast India to southern China and Indonesia (including the islands of Sumatra, Borneo and Java).

According to Herschel Walker, Gibbons is an ape.
It’s plain to see.

So if I understand this Ohio GOP primary correctly, it’s Peter Thiel’s never-Trump guy turned Trump asslicking white trash hater vs. two-time-loser Josh Mandel vs. this bigot bank guy vs. a lady who one time defended a rep who voted to impeach Trump and has ever since been licking Trump’s ass to make up for that error in judgement.

Do I have that right?

I’m going to my garden today and will check the compost bin. I hope to find only the red worms in it.

One thing we know for sure is Gibbons is far less educated and far more ignorant than he thinks he is.

— you know, if you’ve ever read ‘The Bell Curve,’ it’s a book, a very controversial book,…

Does he even know what controversial means?
