Oh Cool, A Dem’s Seat Got Flipped By A QAnoner

A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX), a newly elected congresswoman who flipped now-retired Democratic Rep. Filemon Vela’s seat in Texas’ special election last week and who will also be on the ballot in November’s general election, posted QAnon hashtags and slogans repeatedly on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook in 2020, CNN and Media Matters found.

On seeking pardons:

“The general tone was, ‘we may get prosecuted because we were defensive of the President’s positions on these things,'” Herschmann said.

Being “defensive” is putting it very mildly. Candidate for Understatement of the Year!

After crafting the statement that they were being “defensive of the President’s position”, the Ministry of Truth is going to need to rest.

If I could make a suggestion to the mediasphere, I think we’ve exhausted whatever interest there may be in the way the FBI made Jeffrey Clark go outside in his pajamas. It’s not a big deal, really, in the scheme of things.

If I wanted to be able to buy and use shoulder held anti tank weapons to protect myself from charging moose and grizzly bears … and found a way to get it before this Supreme Court on 2nd Amendment grounds … there’s a good chance they would say “a weapon is a weapon … so OK!”

They could have marched him out buck naked and I would have enjoyed that.

Oh, the poor babies. They think they may be penalized for backing Trump’s crimes. So totally unfair! /s

I disagree. As far as I know, these cases, first Peter Navarro, and now Jeffery Clark, are the first time in history that people suspected of crimes have ever been arrested or have had their houses searched. This story is yuuuuuge.

Hey Jeffy, you want some Chesebro to go with that whine?

No.No.No. The argument you need to make is that since the right exists so that you can protect yourself from our tyrannical elected government, you need those things to offset the local police department’s armored personnel carriers and Humvees, etc.

In fact, I think the day deepened his knowledge about criminal investigations. Now he knows that if you commit crimes, sometimes the cops hear about it and come around.

I can’t help thinking of Clark on the street wearing footed pajamas with “MAGA” across the butt.

“The pyjama people are boring me to pieces.
Feel like I’m wasting my time.
They all got flannel up and down 'em.
A little trap door back around ‘em
An’ some cozy little footies on their mind.”

It would fit the general wiener persona.

From Mornin’ Memo

  • Flores also posted and shared conspiracy theories about the Capitol insurrection claiming that the attack was a “set up” by Antifa and “infiltrators.”
  • It almost goes without saying that Flores promoted Trump’s Big Lie about the 2020 election too. And at one point, she praised MAGA lawyer/Krakenista Sidney Powell, who lost every single election lawsuit she filed, as an “American hero” on Twitter.
  • All the posts have been deleted and Flores now denies being a QAnoner. She told the San Antonio Express-News in April that she’s “always been against any of that” and “never been supportive of it.” (Unfortunately for her, CNN has the archived versions of the tweets.)

Qrazy to think she’s already lying and denying she posted all the Qanon BS, support for ms sidney “Hero” Kraken etc.
Maybe she recently moved from the 51st or 52nd US state, thinking she has Qlean slate now in Tx.

Certainly … Alito, Thomas , Coney Barrett and Kavanaugh are on board if such a case is supported by their benefactors

Jeffrey Clark could not investigate his way out of a paper bag. He seems to have ‘thought’ that if he saw it In the Internet and it reached the conclusions he wanted, then it was true. Brilliant!
