A new report has said that American officials provided a written briefing to President Trump in late February, alerting him to the Russian bounty scheme that sought to bribe Afghan militants in the killing of coalition forces and American troops.
No matter how the RethugniCONS like Ratcliffe or the WH Staff like McEnany or Trump/Pence lie about the Russian bounty of the US soldiers by Putin, which they knew about since 2019 per Bolton…
It is just shows a pattern that Trump is only concerned about himself - US soldiers or American civilians affected by the pandemic be damned!
Trump is a Treasonous Traitorous Thug who is NOT fit to be a POTUS!
I never want to hear about the RethugniCONS proclaim what a law and order or national security party they are…they bought Trumpism hook line and sinker and abandoned what little decency and credibility they have!
At first, I wondered if this scandal had legs. The weak denials coming from the WH seem to suggest it does. All that needs to be established is that there were briefings, whether or not he “got” them. He’ll never admit to having had any knowledge of the bounty plot because that would surely doom his and his party’s electoral prospects. But, in this case, not knowing is almost as bad. His officials were, it appears, passing this information along. For him not to have taken notice… Well, there is no explaining that, either. Even MAGAts will have a hard time with this one.
Oh I think you may be partially correct, but it’s hard to keep the scandals, and the prioritizing of the scandals in good working order since there are so many of them. But this one has legs, 1) it concerns the military, 2) the excuses that are being trotted out reveal worse things about this President, and 3) Trump has nothing new, shiny, or bejeweled in regards to his goals for a 2nd term to distract us.
According to the Daily Beast’s sources, Trump’s reaction to the NYT story was first to question its veracity and then to question why the US is in Afghanistan. I predict his response is going to be to withdraw all troops—which may in fact be popular.
