You have to qualify it with the words “over time”. Both the Russian and Chinese regimes are doomed. It might be a ways off, but I don’t see them lasting. China’s middle class is too affluent and large to tolerate authoritarianism forever. The roots of successful “revolutions” are usually middle class discontent and power, making them liberal ones. China has one but Russia’s is not there yet.

She didn’t add that an obvious NYPD job action is also causing the spike in crime. They’re literally not doing their jobs, in protest, claiming to be afraid for their lives and jobs, even though they’re fucking cops and putting down crime is their job, which can be done in a fair and non-racist way, and I’m not sure why it’s not a bigger story. They’re saying either let us do our jobs as we see fit, i.e. brutally and in a racist way, or we won’t do them at all. Do journalists fear cops that much?

I’m 70 but I suspect this guy is “old” and possibly younger than me. Like Sinatra said…“its only a number baby”… but it’s also a mindset. Jumping on a woman’s age as an indicator of immaturity when that woman broke records and took a landslide victory in the US Congress is the thinking of an “old” person.
