Former President Barack Obama gave a stark warning on Friday about the national crisis that could arise after President Donald Trump’s Justice Department made the shocking decision to drop its case against former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn this week.
Glad he is speaking out.
Hope he keeps it up.

God, I would really like him to come off the sidelines on discrete issues like this. Or the ACA. And don’t do it on a “private video call”. Do it on a TV interview with ABC/CBS/NBC or CNN or PBS.
I know he does not want to overshaddow Joe, and wants to be above it, but his is a voice that will instantly reach much of America who - concerned with the Trump Depression and Covid-19 - don’t see these other things going on.
Evil is afoot in the land, and it is the job of an ex-head of State to make it clear to the public what that evil is, and the impact it will have.

I wouldn’t consider telling former staffers on a private call sounding the alarm. Getting very tired of Dems stating the obvious - “this must stop” & “we cannot accept this” and “this is not the American way” and other platitudes while actually doing very little to nothing of consequence to help.
This was described as a “private” conference call. Either one of those in the loop leaked this unauthorized, or it was “leaked” with a wink and nod.
Either way, I do appreciate this moment of candor. I am surprised that it is as measured as it is considering.

And because BHO is raising red flags about Flynn right now, and pointing out how dangerous this is for the rule of law in our country, they’ll rush to hire him again.
There are 235 Democrats in the House and less than 50 in the Senate with a conservative SCOTUS and just as conservative as well as corrupt Executive Branch. So, please, share your thoughts about what and how the party that’s in the minority in the government can and should do.

The average voter may not be following the Flynn scandal as closely as we here are but I bet they’re much more likely to be following the complete failure of the maladmin to act sooner on the virus that killing us. Polling and other opinion gathering resources tell us this is so. Disapproval of him is high with very little approval. They tuned into to his daily briefs to learn something to reassure themselves, but instead they learned how wonderful he thinks he is.
