President Obama has said that his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at today’s G-20 summit was candid, and that the two agreed on many points of commonality in regards to the situation in Syria. It was the first meeting between Putin and Obama since 2009, and comes after Russia announced it would be sending two warships to its military base in Tartus.
