Following Sen. Chris Dodd’s announcement that he will not run for re-election in Connecticut, Obama released a statement praising the Senator, and saying that Dodd’s “leadership” in the Senate “will be missed.”In his press conference today, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs also said that Obama has “great fondness” for Dodd, and that the senator was “enormously helpful” on health care and financial reform.
