Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s office says it received a letter from President Obama apologizing for the United States’ burning of Qurans in a pile of garbage. “I wish to express my deep regret for the reported incident,” Obama wrote. “I extend to you and the Afghan people my sincere apologies.”
