Oath Keepers Repeatedly Spoke Of An Armed Backup Force For Capitol Attack, Feds Allege | Talking Points Memo

As hundreds of Trump supporters attacked the nation’s legislature on Jan. 6, an armed “quick reaction force” was purportedly waiting nearby, ready for an order to join the fight, a federal prosecutor told a judge Friday.

I’m glad this is all coming out in court, since they literally said this on their website the week leading up to the attack. Here’s the internet archive of the Oath Keepers site from Jan 5th where they talk about being there as ‘security for VIPs’, mention Roger Stone, talk about “grey man” mode” where some would be in plain clothes and literally say “As we have done on all recent DC Ops, we will also have well armed and equipped QRF teams on standby, outside DC, in the event of a worst case scenario, where the President calls us up as part of the militia to to assist him inside DC”

Also in that archive, the open letters to Trump where they ask for him to declare martial law and allow them to arrest Democrats, they mention they have weapons caches set up around D.C. in VA and MD ready to go.

This is not their “worst case scenario.” It’s their fever dream. You can practically hear them getting hot and bothered when they use terms like “QRFs” and “schlep weps” and “get heavy.”

Trumps Razor. The stupidest people, planning an insurrection, discussing it in open communication.

Said it many times and proven accurate just as many–
The country is so fortunate everyone involved are functional incompetents.

Reading this through the lens of the paranoid cosplay set, I’m guessing:

ANF == Antifa Neutralization Force.

Well there’s a tidbit to freeze your bones. How are you feeling about this, Senate Republicans?

If it has the letter Q in it, it has to be true. They’re all sitting in the suburbs of DC as we speak, motors running waiting for his nibs to give the word on March 4.

War games are such fun, until you start an actual fucking war.

I am so over these traitorous dead-enders. Economic anxiety, yeah, let’s go with that. Let’s all try to “understand” them.

There’s nothing to understand. These are the losers who smoked cigarettes in the woods across the way through half of a high school … too bad they missed all those civics courses.

The ones that really piss me off are the others, the “respectable” ones, who can’t be bothered to scratch the surface on this, or pay attention, or accept any responsibility. Yet they’ll be back to vote straight “R” again in 2022, and for Trump or his placeholder in 2024, ready to sink us even further.

This isn’t a wake-up call; it’s a five-alarm fire. Yet many are still treating it like an amusing anecdote or, in the case of the Republican Party, as a recruiting and fundraising tool.

Yeah, just a little pissed this morning, I’ll just leave the soapbox here in the corner and make my way out.

That explains what had been a mystery to me: Where were the weapons these people undoubtedly had? I assumed handguns at a minimum were concealed beneath the battle gear and in the backpacks.

These messages confirm the violent intent of the insurrectionists. There must have been explicit decision not to carry weapons into Capitol, with understanding more heavy artillery was available within 10-15 minutes.

John Yoo & Bush/Cheney tell us that it is legal to literally crush testicles with pliers, if necessary, to get a terrorist to talk. Suggest the prosecutors here use a metaphoric version of same with which to make the best case for locking up these traitors in solitary confinement for a long time in SuperMax, CO.
