Since, uh, Stewie, was hanging out in Little Elm TX, does that make him Little Elmer? As in Fudd?
I interviewed this guy about 8 years ago and he was all about the possible need for insurrection against a tyrannical govt then.
That was why they formed up.
This article claims that they are aware of their oath and breaking it. Not altogether true.
They see themselves fulfilling their oath to the Constitution by defending it against enemies within, a potential tyrannical government. They spew a lot of Jeffersonian claptrap.
Perhaps we should look at how the military is selecting, recruiting, approving these folks? Perhaps the Draft should be reintroduced? I know when I was in there was psychological tests to see if we were all there.
And Mr. Small is stilling hopping mad that they hijacked the Ranger Army patch. It’s an insult to the select few whole did take and pass the brutal ranger course.
We wouldn’t need armies if we didn’t have countries…except maybe Space Force.
A little askew here is that the women who supported Alex Jones and Stewart Rhodes, Kelly Rebecca Nichols is Alex’s ex, while Tasha Adams is Rhodes estranged wife. At some point both women were went along with their husbands activities, until something pushed them over the edge. Even if Kelly or Tasha weren’t officially part of Alex or Stewart’s operations they were happy to stay with them.
What made each woman stop standing by her man?
So important to remember the inspiration for this hideous group.
They are racist. PURE and simple.
Their “oath” is to white purity.
and misogyny
AND hatred of other people’s faiths, as far as that goes.
Just a vile, hate-filled pustule of an organization
Weren’t they a big part of the “Jade Helm” conspiracy theory?
Disheartening link from this article about why women JOIN these groups.
Little Elmer is a wife-beater, but his spouse may have waited until the law was on him. Alex Jones is Alex Jones, so there exist a number of possibilities.
Both men are sociopaths.
My mom stayed with my alcoholic father for a bunch of years. She was not happy about it.
When I was in the USMC in CA, back in 69, 70 there was some religious group, can’t remember what is was, had young women out recruiting, offering sex.
Sex now and here is a much more convincing offering than a harp and and a set of wings in paradise, even those 70 virgins once you are dead not such an attractive proposition.
The Moonies?
Well they attract the lonely, the misunderstood, those that can’t function in society.
Yea I think that was them.
“The Oath Keepers were founded by Rhodes in 2009 as an anti-government group in response to the Obama presidency.”
Well, that’s a whitewash if I ever saw one. “Anti-government”? Uh huh…ok…
Do I need to start tormenting TPM with a “NOBODY’S FOOLED” tag line?
Fact: They are PRO-GOVERNMENT.
Fact: It’s not about gov’t itself in the abstract. It’s about WHO controls that gov’t and rules over the “rest.”
Fact: They are anti-POC having power in that gov’t and believe that only white Christians are entitled to.
Fact: Nobody is fooled by their distraction rhetoric or any claims to the contrary.
The Oathkeepers are nothing more than a militant white supremacy extremist organization that was destined from the get-go to eventually commit acts of domestic terrorism. Voila…here we are.
I remember seeing photos of them in Ferguson, Missouri, armed to the teeth, but looking like they knew how to use their weapons, during the riots there.
