Former Oath Keeper and State Rep. David Eastman (R) was formally reprimanded with a censure Wednesday by the Alaska House of Representatives for asking whether there could be economic benefits to the deaths of abused children.
He’s from Wasilla, probably a good friend of Sarah Palin.
Does he keep his committee assignments? Yeah, I thought so.
It can be argued, periodically…

Eastman seems like he’d be in favor of a “final solution” for those he feels are unfit to live.
His questions easily can lead to that. Pure ghoul.
This guy is a walking red flag.
Dems: We censure you because you’re a monster who applies a Nazi-like calculus to the “costs” of vulnerable children.
Reps: We censure you because you’re a freaking idiot who said the quiet part out loud.

Maybe the Alaska legislature should do a reverse MTG, by not taking away his committee assignments but putting him on all the committees, with the stipulation that he has to attend all committee hearings. Let all the residents know what this rep thinks on all the topics that come before the legislature.
Or they should make him write an essay, to be published, on why he thinks dead children are cost saving measure for the state.

Wasilla is shy of 10K population but has two Mormon churches. It’s not the water, it’s the air (of inherent superiority).
“Censured”? Yeah, sure. He was wrist-slapped for saying the quiet parts out loud. Had Republicans actually been upset by Eastman’s statements, they’d have voted to expel him. Also for participating in an attempt to overthrow the US government.

He’s wrong in his basic premise: That government spending on children does not have a return on its investment. This is a serious flaw that several Republicans seem to have in their thinking. It’s strange because, can’t they see their own lives and realize that they are a living example of government investment being a success?
He seems nice.
I flipped him off when he walked by me during the Wasilla Water Festival Parade on the 4th of July. He was wearing a faux minuteman getup with short, tight trousers, stockings and a tricorn hat.
No, they can’t see anything unless it adds to their bank accounts and those of their friends and relatives. Seriously, that’s the only reason they’re in the game.
There comes a point when someone’s “opinion” is so outside of civilized thinking that it qualifies as insanity.
