Shat out, maybe? Yeah, they’re trying to make it a thing. I personally think most people will find these claims unhinged. Maybe rather than try to counter any specific claims, dems just need to start saying as a group that professional republicans have completely gone over the cliff and they’re hoping their base is jumping with them.

True, and this Qanon bullshit has been going on since at least 2016 when a guy shot up a pizza parlor in DC where he claimed Hillary Clinton was trafficking children. Recently, the Qnuts hunkered down in Dallas to await the return of JFK Jr. who they think is going to be named as Trump’s VP when he returns to the presidency someday soon. These people believe there is this huge conglomerate of Democrats throughout the world who rape children and then harvest from their bodies an already readily available substance called adrenochrome. They also believe that Trump has for decades led a secret plot to prosecute and kill this cabal and that numerous dead celebrities are part of this plan and actually faked their deaths. From Elvis to Princess Di to Tupac and the Kennedys, everyone is still alive and helping to take down the pedophiles. Oh, it gets better. Part of the Qnut crazy is that they think numerous celebrities and politicians have already been tried, convicted, and executed. So, for instance, the guy we see running around calling himself Barack Obama is really a clone. They also believe that people like Oprah are awaiting trial and are walking around with ankle monitors. These idiots will tell you that any day now the power will be shut off all over the planet and Trump is going to emerge as the leader of the world. The entire thing is so hilariously stupid that I kind of hope it enters the mainstream just so Democrats can ask assholes like Ted Cruz if he believes JFK Jr is alive and happily married to Princess Di who is the mother of Kayleigh McEnany.

Leaving aside the obvious psychological projection issue here, I’m not really sure what the endgame is. It’s hard for me to imagine that this could ever become “mainstream” and lies this disprovable and outrageous usually tend to backfire on the liar.

The endgame is the link to local politics. School boards, city council elections, mayoral elections. Bottom-up politics, scaring voters about what the evil liberals in the big cities are doing to their kids. Win the local elections and eventually you’ll win all the state and national level elections too. This has always been a goal for both parties, but the R’s are more heavily focused on it now that demographics are trending against the party.
The narrative being promoted doesn’t have to make sense, it just has to trigger an emotional response. It’s in the same basket as making their kids feel uncomfortable with hearing about gays or the history of Black people in this country. All that, and by the way, Dems are pedophiles too.

I would bet that the mainstream GOP would rather be talking about just about anything else other than the Qcumber insanity. I’m sure some are none too pleased to be forced to talk about this crazy shit, especially those in competitive races. None of them want to have to get into a conversation about whether Donald Trump is soon going to announce that he’s president of the world and JFK Jr is his Veep.
The batshit wing of the GOP desperately wants to talk about idiotic conspiracy theories because it plays well with their most hardcore base. The McConnell wing knows that this is a massive loser. That’s why so many of them were so up in arms when Cawthorn started talking about cocaine orgies. He was playing a specific game trying to smear the McConnell wing of the party with the Qcumber crazy.

Cotton, Hawley, Grassley, Cruz, and Graham all engaging in a smear campaign suggesting that Justice Jackson sympathizes with sex offenders and wants to brainwash kindergartners with pro-gay viewpoints, Q Anon delusions have already taken root in Republican politics. They will accuse all Dems of sex crimes now, ad nauseum. The point is to render the party as toxic as they made the use of the word “liberal.” Their propaganda is never going to stop.

- government that at least gets some things done when dems run it, or
