There are signs that federal prosecutors are close to deciding whether to charge former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, according to the New York Times.
It had better fucking be less than 1.5 years. (Looking at you, DOJ and your boy who threatened the life–multiple times!–of a sitting U.S. Senator.)
This should be interesting. If they try charging him then they’ll be exposed for what they did to him once he’s found innocent. Their lack of evidence against him can then be used in his lawsuit against the DOJ. If they decide not to charge him, then that’s effectively admitting that they don’t really have a case against him. It’s kind of a lose lose situation for the DOJ, right?
I just had a full banana in my smoothie … along with half a large apple, couple handfuls of blueberries, dark cocoa and vit/min/protein powder. Good stuff.
No brainer. McCabe dared to sue and to speak out and the timing of his firing was clearly intended to deprive him of his pension. Of course the next step is to bring criminal charges.
He should claim selective prosecution by referring to all those Trumpistas who lied to Congress and were caught out, with no consequences.
And it seems he was given the option to lie and say he was resigning in order to get his pick of different, lower-level jobs, so we know how much value the DOJ is putting on “candor” during the Trump regime.
